Good breakfast – Karen a delightful hostess – I was proud of them both. Sun & roads almost clear. At Genevieve’s at 12:00 & home at 12:15. In to shop about 2:00 & started writing checks. Carpet is laid in living room addition.

Sat alarm wrong so we got a 6 AM start in the rain & 55 degrees. Temp kept dropping so we had snow north of Corbin Ky & freeway one lane! Got to David’s at 3 & they got home at 4:00. Too bad to go on. Took them to dinner & stopped at Shillitos.

Had to repack to get everything in but got a 9:00 start. Stopped at Citrus Tower & went to top. Whole trip have had perfect 70-75 degree weather. Lunch near Gainesville. 1st bluebird. Stayed at Smith Motel north of Atlanta.

Genevieve & I off to Cape Kennedy Space Center via Merritt Island & Cocoa Beach. Lunch at Space Center & then on bus tour. Thrilling to see moon launcher. Back through Christmas, Fla. Hower asleep & house messed up.

Howard with us to St. Pete to visit David & Vivian Adams Bratten. Good chicken dinner – David’s gardening progressing. Drove to Ft. DeSoto Beaches – good birding. Home about 9:00. Howard glad for trip, but nervous.
