2 weddings at Emmanuel Lutheran & Frazier at Central Christian. To Kathi’s after & visited with Ellen Turner till 11:00.

Friday, September 24, 1971
Down to 38 last night. No frost damage. Home for supper & mowed upper lawn. Petunias, salvia, geraniums all beautiful. Tried out all tones of organ. Howard to bed at 8:00 – Kent at 10 – me at 11:00.

Thursday, September 23, 1971
Kent moved in till his divorce is final on October 12 – YMCA too dirty. In to work for hr or so – Maggie’s son’s barn burned & his mother-in-law died of heart attack. Sally cleaned wll fireplaces. Kathi & kids out for chili.

Wednesday, September 22, 1971
Kathi brought Sue Fry & kids out to see Terradise. I got up with headache & went back to bed when they left. Called in at noon that I couldn’t make it. Slept all day. Howard filled in gas line hole.

Tuesday, September 21, 1971
Alice gave me “Dead beat” ledger. Cards to go through which is always upsetting. To Kathi’s for supper – Sue Fry visiting from Utica, Michigan.
Crabtree here till 2 installing gas burner on furnace.

Monday, September 20, 1971
Kent starting his flower arranging class again. Has 15 Mon. & 15 more signed up for Wed. Charging $20 for six lessons. Includes snips, pin holder – flowers & 3 containers.

Sunday, September 19, 1971
Kent did Emmanuel Baptist wedding. I really enjoyed sifting dirt – make peach marmalade, freezing peaches, making terrariums. Mary, Rocky, Mother, Kathi & kids here for spaghetti.

Only 2 weddings – Emanuel Lutheran & Home Miss. Holiness. Kent still working on funeral work when I got back. Had a $1,500 day. $2,000 over last Sept already this month,

Friday, September 17, 1971
Cliff Mitchell out to see pond yesterday & back again today with literature. Says it looks healthy – good bacteria count. Left me literature.

Thursday, September 16, 1971
Howard clearing lower limbs around pond area.
Crabtree put in gas burner & Gas Co. connected meter.
Sally cleaned attic with me. At 3:00 Howard & I to Kingwood. Annuals gorgeous. Supper & LK – Shopped at Big Bear.
