Met Jim Strider – Local History Chief from Ohio Historical Society & Dve Lewis – State Archivist a shop with Pat Winn & Maxine Marshall went to Warner Warehouse. They say the treasurer’s duplicates are the same as the auditors duplicates at the court house and can be thrown away. Not much help on rest of stuff but gave me a list of what OHS has on microfilm. Took them to Center and then to Ted Myers farm to see “Prince Imperial” – Jacob Howser’s horse – in his crate for over 100 years. Back to shop to type news release on Annual Meeting & ran into disgruntled Nan Hanning Wier with friend in tow. Her wedding appointment with Judy left her confused – so I went over it with her and she left delighted. To Walker’s Jewelry to order Wayne Harper’s Honorary Life Membership Placque $33 – Stopped at Dr. Mike Brown’s & had him remove corn from right little toe $16 – but sure feels better. Left note at Irma Campbell’s to pay Boyd’s for taxes as soon as she returns. Stopped at Big Bear and went to Meijers for film for Polaroid & Kodak salesman took my picture but I bought a new “Disc” camera – $39.50 including 2 rolls film – special promotion. Beth Hanning & Audra & Jonathan over with Nan. Swerve strawberry short cake & reminisced.

Wrote David Maddox thanking for bible records and Blennerhasset Island stuff he sent. Wrote Kathi – Dave & Kristi. Dave is flying to Reno today for 4 week “visit”. Oh, if Bob would just welcome him. How can a grown man shut a boy out when Dave needs him so badly?

Wrapped knife set I got for Diane’s shower. In to baby sit mother at 1:00 while Mary & Ken went to a movie & to Columbus. Worked on newsletter for MCHS.
To shower at Tanya’s at 6:30 – they served sloppy joes – potato salad & jello salad – cake & punch. Diane’s mother & sister didn’t say a word all evening.
Called Kathi as dave arrived late last night from Missouri. She says he is as tall as she is & has fuzz on upper lip. He doesn’t ever want to go back to Don & Rita’s & Bergers did not discipline him in any one – no wonder they thought Kathi didn’t bring him up right. Kathi says his English is atrocious.
