Met Jim Strider at shop at 5:00 & was picked up Glory Dickason & Glen Decker (Mayor) at Green Camp & went to see the RR Bridge that the Erie RR has abandoned on the Dayton Line. Jim says he feels it is not an unusual type.

By time we got back to Marion to meet Richard Bryson at LK it was pouring rain. Felt Jim & Dick should get acquainted.

Then to OSUM for Annual Meeting of MCHS – Dick elected president & made a nice little speech that won the members over. Sold few things from Country Store & “Eber Baker Bean Soup” went well. Jim’s talk on what Hist. Soc. are doing in the state.

Doris Davis says she has things to give Center – Told her to contact Margaret Cottrell.

6 weddings today so I was allowed to help. Tanya used my car to go to Salem United Methodist out by Claridon. I set up & serviced Trinity Baptist for Dick Burtch’s son – St. Mary’s for Fredericks girl. Pat did one & Mary Walker did one at St. Paul’s Lutheran. One was a pick up. We all pitched in to do Diane’s at Emmanuel Lutheran at 4:30. Terry & Jerry looked great as ushers. Judy told me about Bill’s family in Florida – Health Dept. was going to take children from them so Diane went down & got them! I came back to shop so Nell could go to reception but she didn’t want to so I came home. Tired.

In to shop & set up wedding at Richland Road Church of Christ. Aisle candelabra troublesome & Virgil came just as I finished.

Stopped at Center & the Cottrells had cleaned the kitchen. Stopped by their house & they fed me strawberries & ice cream. Suggested we have people bring Buckeye Stamp books to get chairs for Center.

Had thought about going to Baker Reunion in Forest (descendants of William Baker) but didn’t. David called about 3 and said they would be up in 3 hrs. About 6:30 pulled up in their 1979 Blue Olds Custom Cruiser

Kids immediately to attic for toys and house (living room) a mess. I wasn’t feeling well so everything seemed harder to do.

Karen & Sarah helped me sort beans for the “Eber Baker Bean Soup” patterned after “Stokely Station Bean Soup” that I bought in Sussex County, Delaware. Put 1 ½ cups in plastic bag. David made the recipe labels that went with them & copied them at shop.
