Toasted New Year in with terrible pink champagne that Sany gave me! But had a great time. Slept till 11 – watched Rose Bowl parade. To Mary’s for Sauerkraut dinner. Too tired to inventory.

Pouring rain but picked Cliff up about 8:15 & headed for Chapel Heights. Bill Hutchman joined us about 9:30 & sun out rest of day. We got 25 species. Cliff avid learner. Gang here for quiet party.*

Marietta florist asked about hiring Kent. He was in shop & helped Wes move green couch back from his house. Told us he had a job with June Schaft in Columbus. Wrote $4,000 annuity check to Mother.
