Martha off – 3 days vacation. Over $1,000 day.

Sunday, September 30, 1973
Slept on sofa & kids woke us up about 9:00. Good brunch then all to Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus at Cincinnati Gardens at 1:30. Cross between a circus & Ziegfield Follies. Stopped at Virgil Wilson’s & picked up painting. His house exquisite.

Saturday, September 29, 1973
Left shop with 4 weddings to do. With Kathi & kids headed for Cincinnati. Karen at market* with young help. David playing Reds game. Kathi & I shopped market stands. No time for supper before going to Guys & Dolls. Davy asked if they were real people.

Mary & Rocky, Mother & I, Kathi & kids out for supper & to see slides. Raymond Smith brought new push mower. $140 but Howard says it is a good one. Mary made ice cream in their electric freezer. Washed kitchen curtains.

Another $50 missing from drawer envelope & $30 from cash register. Whom to suspect? Had Keith pick up a rock from old Prendergast House & he also brought 1 gallon of wine! Whee! Hot today in 80’s

Had all locks changed at shop & 10 keys made for back doors. Truck serviced. Barry ran truck into door. Took decorations for first Altrusa dinner meeting & visited newly opened Stengel True Museum. To Kathi’s to tell of Beth’s day.
