Took Martha to Nu Supply with me to help decide on floor covering. They discourage the cushion type for duability.
Letter from Helen (Sheneman) telling of Aunt Ruth’s mastectomy last Friday.
Home at 6:30 for soup bean supper. Howard cooked them.
Studied corporation encyclopedia we got today.
Billing out but ran out of postage so couldn’t mail.
Bob & Kathi to movie & Bob here for night.

Monday, April 26, 1976 – Bob to Cleveland AM. Helped with billing PM.
Took additional accounting info to Earl Manter – Took property tax to court house. Went to Greenwood Street house & they were not home & not moved out.
Class on green plants. I talked solid for 1 hr & 45 minutes & never had so attentive audience. But really exhausted me. Stopped at Kathi’s & she gave me sandwich & cookies, but couldn’t be bothered to ruck Davy in when he pleaded with her. She doesn’t realize how soon he won’t need her. Bob stayed there all night.

Sunday, April 25, 1976 Open Garden -Temp from 50- down to 35 by night
Woke to pouring rain! Put pork roast on & made lime salad. Put house in order & got Rec Room things back after the painting.
Talmer Metz’s first visitors & about 30 others came between showers & tornado warnings. Doris & Stewart Gibson arrived while truck blared warning. So good to see them. Called Mother. Mary & Rocky & they came out for supper. Mother went to church & dinner following. Kathi, Bob & kids stopped on way back from Kingwood.

Saturday, April 24, 1976 Dogwood blooming, pink tulips on front bank.
Serviced wedding at First Church of Bretheran. Very warm – 85 or so. So tired could hardly navigate.
Came home at 2:30 & to bed. Up at 5:30 for supper & back to bed at 8.

Earl Manter & Ron (who is really a brain) spent 1 1/2 hrs. going over our internal accounting – asking questions – will give us a prospectus on what they can do for us.
John Bauldauf in with estimate on remodeling. $5200 for inside & $5800 for outside. Over $2,000 is for the cushioned congoleum floor.
Down to marion Federal to see their floor. The red seems too dark. Lunch at Ponderosa. Got plant & cut flower orders ready for Mothers Day.

Thursday, April 22, 1976 – wrens back
Cleaned out flower beds around patio & reset hosta. Mowed with push mower around pond & to do trimming. Set out pansies from Long that were no good. Bob gone most of day, but picked up my piles of weedings & trimmed ivy on greenhouse. I spotted dead racoon in river & he “persuaded” it on down the river.
Bath & bed early – every muscle I have aches.

Kathi called about 9 & said not busy so why not stay home so I set out wildflowers we dug last Sunday but about 11 called again & Bill Lehmers there from Indiana Glass, so I went right in.
