Made dried arrangements using materials left over – Barry Reed from Horticulture Class at Tri-Rivers started work. Very willing & fast worker. Dave had most of staff in this evening working on Christmas arrangements. Didn’t accomplish much.
To Historical Society Board meeting. Henrietta Rengert not there so no minutes. I was Secy pro tem again. Ted Myers presented idea of the Public Library becoming a Historical Center. Carroll gave plight of Harding Memorial Association – no more money. Kept their bonds at 3% interest since 1925! Richard Straub wants to save Union Depot.

To Bucyrus to Vasil’s an outlet store where they manufacture blouses & pants suits. Got jacket & pants to match my russet purse I got in Cincinnati a year ago & a brown suit – $27 each. But they let you buy size 14 Jacket & size 16 pants so they fit. Also got Kathi pants & shirt. Hope they fit!
Shop very busy – Barry Reed in again & I hired him thru Christmas. Made out Thanksgiving flower order.
Searchlight Club from Prospect. Made 8 arrangements in an hr. To Isaly’s with them & Ada Ruth Claget from Oak Street School treated.

Sunday, November 14, 1976
Sunny & temp to 40 so worked around patio pulling out frosted things. Pool frozen over. Mary took mother to Lucas Appliances & she bought 25” console Zenith TV with remote control – console $750! Picked them up at 2:30 & we drove to Columbus. Took mother to Floys & Mary & I went to Center of Science & Industry – craftsmen at work & I got catalog of caneing materials. Then to Lazarus shopping got 2 pillows – spandex pants liners & toy for Sarah. Home at 9:00 – popped corn & watched “Patton” on TV.

To work at 8:30 & then took plants to Wiants for Altrusa Bazaar. Bought 2 neck warmers knit – They made $900! Shop very busy – I made altar arrangements & set up Epworth for wedding – Connie serviced 2. Priced baskets. Cleaned out office supply room that Kathi never did since July. Made up 3 door swags – Opened mail & alphabetized checks – cleaned plant stand that no one ever uses plants from. Home at 7 & heated up chili. Put ribbons on 300 “candy canes” for open house while watching TV. Bed 11:30.
