Slept late and then wrapped gifts. About 4:00 Howard and I in to Mary & Rocky’s. Mother there and David and Karen about 5. Had fillets from John Belli with mushrooms- delicious. Then opened gifts- calculator small enough for purse- their black and white TV! Sarah loved my lambswool duster. Kathi gave me screen but not for wall and “The Heartland” by Walter Havighurst. Howard had my Christmas on the table this morning. A redwood burl- three teak wood bases for vases and 2 bird records. I give him Edwin Way Teale’s “A Naturalist Buys an Old Farm”.

Overslept and didn’t get in until 10:30. Sure glad I had deliveries set up last night. Mike Zucker sick but big push was over. About 1 Dave came to me and said Mr. Mosure, Michelle’s dad was on phone about Dave making a pass at Michelle’s leg! Dave said he was reaching for greens on the floor. To hear Mosure you’d think I was running a whorehouse instead of a flower shop. I couldn’t believe my ears. Called each of the young girls in to give them their Christmas gift and ask if Dave had ever done anything toward them. All said no. Then Michelle’s boyfriend in and threatened to spread my name all over town- mud splattered!! Went to Mary’s for supper and then home.

Warner Breeze brought in 75 branched poinsettias that I can sell for 10 to $15. Cost $3.50. Put Everett’s West Park stuff to shame. I routed orders all day. Barry, Mike and Fred Somerlot and Jim Schultz in too. Lots of funeral work.
Lillian fixed spaghetti and salad for our shop supper. Designers worked until midnight. I got home at 1. No holly and have 10 orders. Last shipment from Oregon all bad. Barry Reed left for Tennessee with his mother.
