Gorgeous day- sunny 65° mowed leaves. Now Terradise looks ready for winter.
Howard and I went across River. So many trees down and broken in the tops from the wind this spring.
Went with Mary, Kenny and mother to take Roger to Jill’s in Mansfield. Bob Moore’s photos of Africa very good. Compared travel notes.
Called David a.m. They will come to Mary’s for Thanksgiving. Be up Wednesday evening.
Chris Kennedy in friends out while I was gone.

Roger painted 2 porches. I planted tulips- President Kennedy, Gudoshink and Red Rascal daffs among lily of the valley.
Terry out and with chainsaw cut the trunks Howard had left of apple trees that didn’t bear. Also the Red Pine that cut off my view down “Pennsylvania Avenue.”
To Quest Club. Had white elephant sale. Mae Fisher gave book review on “Donahue” -dragged considerably. Home at 10- Mary and Kenny had been out and fixed the table lamp by sofa.
Bed at 10:15 p.m.

Tuesday November 4th
Reagan-Bush Landslide! Can’t believe how relieved I feel. For four years I waited to get Jimmy Carter out of the White House.
Voted before going in. Think all of my candidates were elected.
To Rotary club meeting luncheon at Country Club as guest of Ted Myers -asked because I am Marion County Historical Society president. Meeting commemorated the 60th anniversary of Warren G Harding’s election. Virgil Hess spoke. Had Harding’s golf clubs on display.
Home about 4 and got snacks, glorified rice and sandwiches ready for our group. Mary Hecker, Mary and Carl Jordan and Paris and Helen Romine out about 8 and by 8:15 NBC had projected the Reagan win.
David and Kathi both called. David voted for Ed Clark of the libertarian party what kind of dissident did I raise!
