Monday June 13th 1977
Up at 7:30 in the “El Rancho Motel” and over to pick David up at 8:30 am. Then to Procter & Gamble through area of large old homes of the 1980s. Tour mostly on packaging. Then to Edelman Sausage plant where we had a sandwich and took tour with John, manager. As David says real quality plant!
Then to Jack’s Camera Shop downtown. David ordered Elmo 350 sound movie $280 and I bought macro 3.5 Nikkor lense $229! Then to zoo to meet Karen, Sarah and Joshua. Very clean well run Zoo- two white tigers. Shot rolls of Tri-x with new lense. left at 4:30 home at 8 via 38 and 42 and freeway. Mary called mother from Fargo- be home Thursday.

Sunday June 12th 1977
Overslept so left for Cincinnati at 11, in Kathi’s Volare so shop can use mine for delivery while truck has check up. David’s lawn so nice and he has basement entrance bricked except for the steps. Down to Public Landing new curving steps. Watched the boats. Across new arched bridge to Newport dinner on Mike Fink paddle [wheel] boat. Then to park near David’s for Cincinnati Symphony concert but PA system not working until last Carmen movement. Bob Hinklin at David’s when we got there. Still no sense. Showed movies sound and also Marion 1976 for editing. To motel $23.50 Karen said too much commotion for us to stay there.

Thursday June 9th 1977
Kathi helped me clean attic. Got the spot at top of steps cleared at last. And “left the dust in different places.” (Ray Romine poem.)
She left at 12 to pick up Julie and Cindy to come play with Kristi and Davy. Came back at 2 with an Al Tracy, friend of Bob Jameson that she met skating. Pretty smooth operator.
Kathi and I to Nell Bryant’s for dinner- older shop girls there- delicious. I left at 8 to go to Richwood to give Philippines slides $10- they kept me for an hour after talk answering questions.
