Sarah repeats everything you say to her and is using her own sentences. Same age as Kristi was when I visited Decker’s in Germany in 72. To shop about 11 and then to Isaly’s for lunch. Up to mothers to look at compressor, but too large for David to load. They left for home about 4.
I came home at 6, snacked for supper and to bed at 11. Read “How to Achieve Success and Happiness in Business” for second time. Good psychology.

Cold and rainy. In at 12:30 to pick up wedding for Prospect. Took mother along and then brought her out here. Got supper cooking and then priced baskets, Howard helping. Mary helped when they came out about 4:30. Ate at 6:30 and David and Karen arrived about 7:30 so fed them. Showed slides I took in Oklahoma.
Marcella Haldeman called and we talked half hour. Haven’t seen her since Spring.
Finished pricing baskets before I went to bed at 12. Will get about $1,500 retail on a $662 investment.

Called United Airlines about 8:30 and they said the basket shipment was there. Howard drove down with me to Columbus to get them. Customs inspection consisted of opening one box to see if they were marked “Made in Philippines”. Baskets are duty-free! And got the weight rate rather than volume so Total Transport charges was $126 + $35 to Jim Ermatinger for the San Francisco transfer. Ate lunch at Forum Cafeteria and spent afternoon unpacking and checking shipment. Very well marked. About 600 pieces. Macrame beautiful and colorful. Pancho’s and necklaces as gifts. To Palace with Mary Kuehale & Friend for Virgil Fox concert organist.

Dick Johnson called me about noon and invited me to join Rene and Effie, his wife, for dinner at Sally Ann and then to their A-Frame home to advise on landscaping. House is gorgeous and he’s hauled in 400 loads fill to complete the setting. Very interesting man- has collected many things but disposed of most. Gave a complete lecture on Indian points. Says very few were ever arrowheads. One piece he paid $600 for. Most are Mound Builder and earlier cultures. Left at 12:30 and home about 1:15. Exhausted.
