In town about noon and stopped at Frank’s for some more hush-hush pantyhose. Ended up buying sheets, two kinds of pants liners, undershirts, 2 pants suits, dolls for Sarah and Josh, dress for mother, trench coat, can opener and ice crusher!! Just got home in time to dress in new qiana wine pants suit and meet Bill and Erma Hutchman to attend First Presbyterian Church medieval dinner. Wassail, with choir and costume upstairs and then banquet served in the “Great Hall”. Much music and good food. Bill made a blue bird feeder for me.

There I headed for OSUM for our committee chairman meeting. Got sign ups for proofreading indexing and typing. Great enthusiasm all around. Richard Carey asked to speak about Library. He’s supporting Marilyn Hale’s petition.

Thursday November 30th 1978 Can talk a little.
My day off, but knew I had to go in as today was deadline for material for history. Clara and Tom hard at work when I got there and it was a constant stream of people and phone calls all day. Interviewed by phone by WDIF and unofficially extended deadline to December 15th. This in the middle of a wedding sale.
At 6 I asked Laura if she wanted to go to Fred Waring and the Young Pennsylvanians with me. She was delighted. Ate at pancake house and then to Palace. Fred is 78 and chorus averages 21. Great!
