Tuesday, January 25, 1983
Took Howard to chiropractor Dr. Lawson for his back ached. Says he pulled his ham string muscle & sciatica nerve. MOist heat & Epsom Salts baths prescribed. Brought him home – In to Gloria Marshall – 158 1/2 lbs – lowest wt to date. Picked up David at Hemmerly’s & met Mary & Ken at Turoff’s for his birthday dinner. David & I down to see Mother. Had 2:00 appointment with Dick Bryson & John Keggan – Divided up names to call on for Endowment Fund money. Set up a $2,000 budget to finance campaign. Hair cut – shampoo & set at 4. Home to get beef & noodle dinner for Dave. Mary brought bathroom grip bar out for Howard. To Altrusa for program only.

Monday, January 24, 1983
Royce here to clean. She cleans for & goes to Dr. Lawson for back pain & suggested I get Howard an appointment. He was not too enthused.

David out for 6:00 pot roas supper. Worked on Class of ’33 membership list – got bugs out & some in the computer.

Saturday, January 22, 1983
Francis Hemmerly called from Nashville to order flowers for Mary baker. She died Thursday night – flu finally took her after a living death for 10 years following a stroke. Mary & I took flowers over about 1:30. Fanny’s family & neighbors there – Jessie & Loren & Floy. Icy streets AM but melted by noon.

To see mother when I got back from Forest. She was crying to go to bathroom – said she had been calling all afternoon. I told nurse & after no one came I lifted her on to toilet. Still no one after 20 minutes so told nurse again. I was mad. Talked to Kathi twice today.

Friday, January 21, 1983
In to shop to pick up carnations (pd $4 for 10) to make corsages & bout for Eastlawn Manor birthday party. Took them to Mother’s & m,ade them up there while Mary was also there. Took Dave with me to Mt. Vernon. No Wm. Hildreth will at courthouse. Drove down past his homestead & the Miller cemetery. To Murt Bower’s at 5 – met her daughter Vickie – picked up Auntie (Myrtle Hildreth) & all wen to Long John Silvers for seafood dinners. Back to her house to see Knox Co. publications & her records.Had correspondence from Wm. Hildreth II descendant who lives in Sparks, Nev! Home about 9:00

Wednesday, January 19, 1983
Took Dave to school for exams & picked him up. Stopped at Depot Sales for felt boot liners.

Sent more letters to Hildreth cousins & worked on mailing list. Only about 25 total. Even if we sold to all of them wouold still have 125 books left.

Dave in really sullend mood – after 3 seductions in “Dynasty” I told him he could not watch it any more – Stomped to his rook very angry. Worked on list of Class of 33 again. After I went to bed Dave out to watch TV.

zero at 8:00 Coldest this year.

Researched schools, parks & fariground dates for Jim Augenstine called the MCHS* Got letters address to “cousins” in Newark & Piqua. Aunt Ola & Aunt Josephine descendants.

In to Gloria Marshall at 1:30 – gained 1/2 lb. Met Marge Brandt at shop & ran off labels for MCHS newsletter mailing. Visited Mother. Dinnera at LK with Jordans & Heckers. Mary & Kenny were our this AM & brought box of her kitchen discards – She’s been cleaning cupboards since havin gnew fronts put on. Letter from Kathi. She will fly home April 22 – until May 2.

Worked on Class of 33 Member list – 61 deceased – 18 missing.

Monday, January 17, 1983
David off to shop before rest of us were up. Took the pork barbecue he brought in with us & ate at Marys. THen Karen, kids & I went to see Mother. To Howison & Howards to look at wallpaper for my bedroom. Karen thinks a plaid would fit in. David still at computer at 6:00 but had to leave for home after hamburgs at McDonalds.
