Monday, February 14, 1983
David called at 8:45. Had come from Cinci this morning. Said phone hadn’t stopped & it didn’t until about 3:30 even with 3 answering all the time. I routed all day & David delivered as Burt Radebaugh & Greg Etter couldn’t work. But all went smoothly & everyone worked very hard. Total sales for day was $2,400 – a record. So maybe the recessions is receding. David, Dave & I ate at Ponderosa after taking an azalea to mother & then home to work on Class of 33 mailing list on the computer. Made corrections on what was already in & David finished all 270 names before going to bed at 3:00.

Sunday, February 13, 1983
Took Dave in to shop at 10:00. Judy had told me they didn’t need me so went down to see Mother & stopped back at shop – Kass there but sick so I offered to work for her. She was glad & went home. Finished 65 bout she was working on – ans phone, waited on customers including Fanny & Floy & Fanny’s niece & family. Dave thro delivering with Virgil Hinamon at 3:30 so we brought Caledonia area delivery. Dave very nasty with me about finding 1119 on Whetstone – later apologized. Winds of War finished with US at war with Germany, Italy & Japan.

Thursday, February 10, 1983
Finished putting corrections in all Hildreth Genealogies. Cleaned house somewhat for meeting with Mrs. Phipps, Mrs. Sayre & Miss Findlay from Galion to plan April 23 Regional meeting there.

Cooked pork chops & rice, baked potatoe & apples for supper. Dave wouldn’t eat pork chop. Took him to Industrial Arts meeting. He can’t enter his car in Metric 500 race as he cut it too short. Called me at 8:30 to get him as he had a nosebleed. Watched Winds of War. Dave mad because I wouldn’t let him read murder article in Esquire at 11:30 PM. Much door slamming.

Wednesday, February 9, 1983
Typed master list of Class of 33 names for mailings. Took Howard’s tire to Harruff’s to be fixed. To see Mother, picked up Edna Hatfield to go to dinner at Turoff’s with Jordans & Heckers. Then to MH Center for Class of 33 planning session. Just gfot settled & Dick Bryson’s executive committee came in. Used both rooms. Decided to use Center Fri afternoon & Sat as a meeting place.

Royce cleaning. Imogene out to see computer operate & watch birds. She got a list of 13! All the good ones showed up including 3 mail purple finches & about 15 females. Little skiff of snow helped.

To see Mother before having sandwich at Turoff’s. Ran into Bernard & Betty & ate with them. Then to Episcopal Church to give talk to Marion Mixers Garden Club – Birds again!

Mary & Ken brought out a 1905 Ohio map for MCHS. Ken made frame. Betty Frazier gave map to Mary.

Sunday, February 6, 1983
Mastered the Osborne. Called David twice for info but then was able to enter Class of 1933 Info OK. Got 145 members entered out of 272.

Fixed pancades & bacon for bkfst. Left at 12:30 to pick up Mother. To Marysville to meet Bill’s folks at 2:00. Home through Bellefontaine. Skiers thick on homemade snow.

Watched Winds of War – 1st of 7 nights. WWII saga.

Finally snowing tonight. Predicted for 3 days.
