Call from Mansfield woke me – wanting to go to meeting in Galion that was cancelled. Kathi took kids to Marion. I set out 25 Austrian Pines along borders of 3 lots across street. Put 25 Norway Spruce in pots hoping we can set them out in Jackson Center Cemetery.

Paul Almendinger brought his brother & wife over with some books for MCHS – none suitable. Beth Hanning out for tour of grounds. Took kids to Mary’s while Kathi & I went to Palace to see Joffrey II Dancers – just kids

Call from River Valley School at 8:15 that Dave had been injured in shop & was being taken to hospital by ambulance. Got Kathi & Kris up and was at hospital by 8:50. His right hand severely lacerated between thumb & forefinger. He dropped a piece of sheet metal & in trying to catch it hit sharp edge. Got Tylenol #3 (with codeine) & antibiotics for him. He’s pale but able to navigate. Kathi, Kristy & Dave went to Isaly’s with Bill & Mary Linn & to library. Home about 8.

Kristi & I in at 8:30 to Eber Baker Middle School where I participated in “Back to School” Day in Craig Clark’s Social Studies Class – Lesson and events leading to Marion County’s formation & Eber Baker’s part in it.

To MCHS board meeting taking Mary Brocklesby. Voted $850 for insulation of Center and had estimate of $100 to install front door that Y men will pay.
