Wednesday, October 17, 1956
Daddy out to help Lockwoods unload cupboard for kitchen. Pasted map on hardboard, transplanted about 50 African Violets. Temp 84 & nearly melted. In with Kathy after school & got blue dress at “The Fashion” $15. Brought Mary Jordan home for supper. Mother & Daddy out. Showed Mary pictures.

Beautiful day temp 83. No rain for 10 days. Not busy at shop. Got rest of Wall-Tex & Mrs. Deyson papered shelves. I bought 3 dresses at Penney $12.90 – $8.90 & $4.00. TV & fixed 1 dress.

Busy at shop. Kathy & I to Gambier with Phyllis Baker. Stopped at Fredericktown & invited Carroll Roberts to hayride. Bob Rhoades came out with Tom Wilson & Charles Ziegler. They danced after helping me move furniture back in rec room. Bed 12:30.

Helen Hanning to clean. Moved living room about. Bonny Handschug home with Kathy. David painted stairway & I did Rec room flower. Bed 12:30.
I called Ed Hutchman & Bob Rhodes & invited them to FHA hayride since Bob Swisher can’t make up his mind.

Tore up north side of salesroom at shop & put in peg board above shelves, painted & refit planter. Looks nice. Kathy in & we went shopping “Frontier Days”. When I got home David was here & not at Lions Club Dinner for scouts. Coopers forgot to stop for him. I cried.

Kathy in after school & we shopped. To Bob & Marcella Haldeman’s for dinner & Marcella helped Kathy finish her jumper – except zipper. David got hair cut* in ‘Donia & went to scout meeting with Coopers.
