Wonderful shirt sleeve weather again! Raining a mite tonite – Very unusual – driest weather ever. Overtime 50″ & still in hole horribly. Trella & Kathy to Jr. play at school (‘Doney) tonite.

Day off. Beautiful DRY weather again – Put lock on greenhouse; Trella sprinkled lawn. P.M. Ray Hemmerly & I dubbed at greenhouse smoke stack mostly!! I put light inside from true greenhouse lead tonite, with switch. Trella to make Upper Sandusky talk tonite. I read letters, Sandy, Baker, etc.

Tuff mail – allowed overtime – not me, I says! SHIRTSLEEVES p.m. again. Home for lunch. H & J* here when we got home (we’d stopped to see Cora – Dad not there); tramped acres b/4 dark, quick supper, & they stayed till 9:30. Nice evening. Trella spraying stuff now for talk [shorthand]

Laid off- said “knee”, & Trella & I to Columbus: Xmas- talk shopping- (Hills, Smith & Young), bookstore, dime-stores, Esther Weakly (not there). Thomas*, Home 5:15 or 5:30 (?). I messed lining up Skippers tonite. Trella to bed with headache. Perfect weather! Warm, etc. Ray Hemmerly out today with stovepipe etc. for greenhouse.

($148.34) Sa-well weather! Shirtsleeves- unbelievable fall, but dryest ever. Home at noon. We mixed batch concrete ‘fore dark for greenhouse stove base – Trella smoothed it! She to Burroughs; I showered, wrote 3 letters, cartooned.

Perfect weather! Trella worked shop a.m.; design school in Columbus rest o’ day. I “fixed” pumps, watered lawn, planted IRIS seed crop; painted shack window & door, etc, till 5. Cartooned, pomes, read tonite.

Nice weather. Called Sandra Jean p.m. at office. Had bad spell about her tonite, while workin’ on erecting living room cornices – got them up. Trella cleaned etc. all day- till 9:30 at least tonite.

wORK 6:30. Had help! Home for lunch. After work we hauled concrete blocks from Ralstons in truck. I laid 2 window “wells” b/4 dark. Tonite, varnished cornices & hall baseboard, cartooned while Trella ironed. I wrote Sandy.

We worked! Rezzed kitchen molding, hallway baseboard; painted greenhouse door 2 sides, & door into from house. Got stove (Ray Hemmerly brought it out & Roger): built platform for, cleaned stuff from garage to shack & fit molding to cornices (living room) & varnished! Trella to town selling wedding tonite.
