Slight breakfast for Mary & Forrest Sheneman. In to the shop with them & then they were off for Somerset. Worked on statements & home at 2:00 to help Helen Hanning clean house. Bob Clark brought portable 17″ TV over & it works pretty good. Did housework late.

Wednesday, October 2, 1957
Short visit with Forrest & Mary Sheneman before they went to Aunt Lily’s for lunch. Worked on statements after taking typewriter back & buying the Hermes 2000 $130.88 & tqable $12.50. Home at 3 with Shenemans & picked up kids. Got ready for hamburg fry. Hutchmans & our family. Kathy & Ed hit it off well. Showed slides. Forrests here.

Tuesday, October 1, 1957
Worked on statements & went typewriter shopping. Like the foreign models at Adding Machine & Typewriter Exchange. Hermes & Olympia. Brought one home to try. Daddy trying out new 1955 Blue Ford. Mary & Forrest Sheneman arrived at 5:30. Wonderful dinner at Mothers. Visited – home about 9:30.

Day off. Daddy out & put new roof on shack. I mowed & weeded. Mr. Howser over to give David less & says he has really improved. Daddy & Mother out tonight & Daddy put up “plus” in rec room so I can hang pictures & things. Gave Lindy bath in salt water for fleas. Popcorn & bed at 11:00.

Kids in at 4 & took Kathy up town. To Scout Office for instructions. Shopping with Kathy. To Mary for spaghetti supper. Picked up Evelyn Manter at Green Camp & then to Richwood to meet with Scout adults for fund raising Sunday. Home 11:30.
