Kathy to game at Columbus Deaf with Swishers. Had tickets for Jan Pierce concert bu too tired to go. Temp 18 last night but greenhouse seems OK.

Thursday, November 21, 1957
At shop until 2:30. Picked up Erma Hutchman & off to Columbus. Bought at Hills – shopped Lazarus. Had short visit with Aunt May & Uncle Miles & then to Burwell Nurseries for Christmas demonstration by Ruth Kleinmaier’s sister-in-law. Fabulous place. Home 11:45.

Christmas talk to over 100 at Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club luncheon. Picked up Keith Lamb’s slides – most of them good. Loafed evening away. Bed 11:00.

Tuesday, November 19, 1957
Slaced off at shop – $88 day. Mr. Howser here for David’s trombone lesson. Beans for supper. Kids to Community Club but since I had told Mr. Howser I would be free Tuesday – we stayed home and talked. Too cold to work in greenhouse. Fire still out.

Had Deyson in – 27 funeral pieces. I stayed in – Had supper at Humpty-Dumpty then to give Christmas talk to Dirt Daubers Garden Club. Sold $15 stuff. Windy & warm. Temp 61.

In to do Berringer-Kaelber wedding at Waldo. Mr. Howser stopped in !!? PM. David & I cleaned up brush by pond & burned it & dropped old fence into the woods. Bob Swisher over evening & Kathy made pizza. Folks called Mary AM.

Another madhouse Saturday & $1,100 week. Wedding at 2:30 & 22 funeral pieces. Kathy delivered in station wagon. To turkey supper at Caledonia School.

Pat Esterline & Kathy took car to to to Harding’s Junior Play. First time she took it alone at night. (I learned later she had to be pushed to get it started!)

Still headache so back to bed. Mr. Howser woke me up – Brought over Wahoo bushes. TO work at 1:30 & he was here again when I got home! Had given David a trombone lesson. Rested.

Busy at shop & then packed for 2 talks at Y. One to 20-30 [illegible] & 1 to Home Demonstration Agent. Completely wore me out. Home with headache & vomitted.
