To Ralph Carhart to draw up Bill of Sale for Hemmerly’s Flowers to me. Then to Vornholt. Had broken tooth off that was capped so he had to pull it & took 2 stitches. Hurt! Got most of January statements out of file. To see “Perri” with kids, Pat Esterline & Bonnie & Chuckie. Wonder. Animals in the woods.

Put turkey in at 8:30. Folks & Mary & Rocky & Bob Swisher about noon & we ate at 1:30. About 3:00 Jill Hemmerly Moore & Daisy Hemmerly & Jill’s girls came. Such a nice surprize. All left about 5:30. Made up 8 TV plates from left overs & watched TV. David got $15 toward trombone (from Mother & Daddy & Walt), Trombone record* from Mary & Rocky & Double basket from Kathy & Bob Swisher for bike.

[This record was Trombone Panorama recorded in 1956-57 by the Kai Winding Septet. Four trombones and rhythm along with a history of the trombone in jazz. Very instrumental in getting David interested in jazz, along with influences from Dick Grimm at the flower shop.]

Howard over at 10:30. Planted petunias, alyssum, ageratum, carnations. Lunch. [shorthand] I was surprized but should have known. Helen & Beth Hanning to clean. Freezer – 20 cu. ft. delivered & daddy brought 1/2 beef out to load it. Mother, Daddy & Pat Esterline here for supper. Wildflower talk to El Dorado Club. And after all this a headache!
