Called Ohio Genealogy Society at noon & Florence Main answered. She is the one Pat said might help with numbering. She suggested a sequence numbering & so will go ahead that way. Said it was only day she had been there & the only time all day she had answered the phone.

Picked Chris Kennedy up for Dance Central & Central Ohiop Symphony on Concert Series. Dancers far out but Symphony great. To Isalys after. Anyone I don’t know Chris does!

In to shop to get fresh material together for talk. Nice luncheon at Women’s Club Home – Garden Forum – officers of all clubs.

Sat with Mayme Haron who reaps firsts at all shows.

Everyone seemed to enjoy my interpretations – and it was fun to do garden club stuff instead of florist type.

Had dinner with Mary & Kenny at Rhoads restaurant & picked up order for 6-8 hanging baskets for their north windows.

Recorded on tape from records while I worked on genealogy. Still not sure how to number the individuals.
In at 3:30 for meeting with Phyllis Malo & Hal Boncutter to set up Ad Hoc Committee for MCHS. Phyllis suggested we ask those we want to lunch next Monday & tell them all at once what needs to be done. Hal left before we got to that!

To Turroff’s with gang & Phyllis came too.

Sarah slept with me and was up first. She noticed the baskets hanging on the kitchen wall “Everywhere I look there is a basket.” Had good discussion with David & Karen about the Employee Handbook – delegation of responsibilitys & budget. They left at 3 as David will play with a Dayton Jazz group at 6:00.

He helped put the new speakers in the wall, but I need a connection soldered.

No precipitation for 15 days. Sunny all day Low 10 high 32 3rd driest Jan in history.

Mary & Ken out to put doors on stereo compartment. He had $25 in materials so I paid him $40. Wedding appointment changed till Wed so I didn’t go in. Went to Reece’s for groceries – 4 lbs of Sirloin at round steak pricecost $8.10. Had dinner all ready when Mary Kue [sic] & Mother came at 5:15 & Haldemans at 5:50. David complemented me on dinner – Even asked whether I had done it all myself. Evidently I have not made a good impression as a cook!

Showe the family movie made in 1970. We all were thinner! Mother has aged the most. David intriqued by Roy Price’s diaries of 1918 – 1928-1930 that his daughter Vivian Blackford had compiled & published. They are fascinating. Must write & tell her so.

Popcorn & pizza & bed at 11:30.;

Found Carol Jacobs Cashier’s check on my desk about 3:30 for $450 – so do hope she can keep it up through May + her $300 income tax refund.

Type Star story of Historical Society Meeting – minutes of last board meeting – correcting all of Miriam’s misconceptions – and all the scholarship specifications that Cecil Gabler got ready.

Worked with Nel & Judy & Elliott Levy on ordering baskets, glassware.

Sent Mary roses for her last day at work – Her colleagues also ordered flowers for her. Vava out of town so they took Mother to their house about 4:30 to stay all night.

Picked up airline ticket to Reno & return from Phoenix $400.
