Signed cotnract with Asher Roofing for $465 to reroof TV Room roll roofing double lapped.
Got clothes washed & packed. In to Mothers – She like her mobile meal! Wasn’t nearly so whiney today. Talked almost normal. To shop wedding conference with Laura. Judy said she took 11 hrs. on last weeks wedding. Howard had helped me clean inside of car & Terry took it to have outside washed. Looks great.
Dinner with Jordans at Turoffs. They decided not to go to “Little Mary Sunshine” dress rehearsal – so I didn’t either. Good thing. Took me until 9:30 to get Camera Club & Historical Society stuff done. Popped corn & watched end of “Evita” (Peron). Bed at 12:15.

Lunch at Brown House with Irma Campbell, Phyllis Malo & Virginia Howard to get loose ends of Long Range Plan together. Virginia won’t take president next year – So let them talk me in to it again.
To mothers – Mary Conroy there cleaning. Had her first Mobile Meal – Looks good.
Conference with Kass & Judy – advertising – Laura – etc. overtime at Valentines Day (Down 15 hrs from last yr.)
Home for supper – Then to Gen Tel River Valley for Camera Club. Home & typed minutes. Star story & notes on Hildreth Genealogy. Bed at 1:00 Sleep at 4 – Finished “When Hearts are Light Again.”

Full fledged flood! – Pond nearly covered.
Fixed lunch for mother & typed genealogy there until 4:00. Mobile Meals called saying they would start Monday.
At shop to pack 2 bags for David to use as camera bags. Gave Judy $25 from mother’s pay for Elenor. Harry Garverick paid $200 for the Hornet – Only 2 weeks late!

Thursday, February 19, 1981 High 55 Low 42 Foggy Rainy River flooding in woods.
Worked all day on editing & typing Hildreth Genealogy. Cleared it up considerably by using footnotes. Got through William Hildreth III. Condensing 24 pg to 12 so far!
Called mother twice. Esther Reiger was in to see her & heated up her supper.
Call from Mrs. John Streit on restoring her fireplace in 140 yr. old farm house & from Mary Heininger on history of Epworth Church for their 150th celebration.

Picked Mary Jordan up & headed for Columbus. Did genealogy research at O.H.S. Library – mostly in county histories.
Found Benoni Hildreth listed as one of the first 19 families in Marietta in 1788.
Bought Vivitar 85-205 3.8 zoom lene at Chic’s Camer for $175. Prob. should have got the macro zoom at McAllisters for $200.
Got black skirt at Lazarus $17. Couldn’t believe change in downtown areas. Stopped at Bun’s for dinner.
Up to mother’s after taking Mary home. She finally had a MB but complained that she had been alone all day.
Pres. Reagan’s economic message to Congress delivered with speed & determination. “Most important since before FDR!”

Letter from Walt & Olgua cordially inviting me to visit them while in Arizona. Haven’t heard from Wilda or Jackye yet. Cooked lunch for mother about 3 & grocery shopped for her.
Jim Kelley finished checking my wagon. Did brakes & moved cassette player toward middle so it doesn’t bump knee.
Board meeting at Bowen House. Gave Ad Hoc Committee report. Home about 10:00.
First time since Dec. that drive was clear when I went out for paper.
