Got my belt and buttons tonight.
Wally came down to take a walk but we went to the show. “A Notorious Gentleman” and “Private Worlds” Charles Boyer and Claudette Colbert.
Walking home is about all the Romanticism we two get though.

Rushed Uptown this noon in the heat to get a dark blue belt and buttons for my new pink dress but couldn’t find any I liked.
Raining when I came home tonight.
Pressed some clothes took a bath, made a block for my quilt and now I think I’ll go to sleep.
Wally has Sea Scout meeting on Monday evenings from now on.

Up early and out to the garden with Daddy. Corn about 3in High. Stuff needs rain. After dinner took a drive out to Marg. and Ruben Smith but they weren’t home. Mrs. Dodrill set my hair about five. Rest of the family set out tomato plants. I was too tired. Read and popcorn. And so to bed. Nice day.

Mrs. Davis’s birthday. Had the loveliest ice cream cake (looked like a beautifully decorated cake but was three layers of ice cream on the inside.)
Wally came over about 3. Went to Olentangy Park. Pretty swimming pool. Rode on the airplanes and Wally took a roller coaster ride. Walked to church. Wally up for treasurer of BY. Preacher says if it rains 1” over one square mile it would take 15 miles of boxcars to hold it. Too tired to stay for Fireside hour.
