Getting settled into a work routine after the shakedown period. Gave Dave the choice of taking piano lessons from Howard or helping me weed for an hour. Guess what he chose? Seemed like 20 years ago to hear the Volga Boatman again. Played a key at a time.
To Caledonia Bank to have my signature guaranteed so I could withdraw $2,000 for National Total Return Fund. Bought beef roast at Reece’s for $1.39 lb. In to shop and copied Emmanuel Sheneman 1870 letters to Lucy Hildreth & enclosed with letter to Uncle Allen.
Shopped at Sears for their 49 cent notebook paper – 200 sheets – which Dave wouldn’t have. Had to have 70 sheets between a cover for 49 cents.
Stopped at Mary’s. She had daylilies from Dr. Ginn. Named varieties. So glad to see her enthused about planting something. Weeding the impatiens bed on the patio. Perked me up even if it was hot. Watched “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” with Dave.
