Helped Howard finish digging 15×20 garden – checked on baby ducks – 7 now. At 10:00 picked up Janet Reynolds & went to the Park along the river north of Caledonia over bowstring bridge. Typical flood plain river bottom. Much weedy growth but found about 15 wildflowers. She wants to save it from council members who want to have people cut the trees. Walked the RR track in the rain – about a 2 mile hike.

Drove 24 miles to get 5 miles to Marilyn Kepfords to do wildflower talk for “Sail Mates” – Mrs. Fahrien told me 612 instead of 6512!

Called Mary about Vivian Blackwells letter – She will be gone from Eugene by Mary 27.

Bed at 10 – Exhausted!
