Up at 7 & started washing at 8. Had 5 baskets of wet clothes so they didn’t all get dry before noon. Sent kids over to mother’s with Wally. Mrs. Rinehart picked me up for Garden Club meeting with Mrs. Morgan at Morral. Her iris were something so told her I’d be back tonight with Ray. Home at 5 – Supper of eggs – clothes down – kids ready & almost made it when Romines came at 5.
To Mrs. Augenstein’s at Claridon first. Her Picador – June Knight – Kalanoxa – Eros – Buto – good. Then to Morral – K. B. Morgan. She has over 200 varities & named them all from memory – Copper Lustre – Prairie Sunset – Red & Black Douglas – China Maid – Frank Adams – Magenta – Cheerio Indian Hills – Indian Chief – Ming Yellow – Wabash – Amigo – Rubriant – At Dawning – Golden Hind – Snow Flurry – Chosen – Late Sun – Louvais – Majinica – Morocco Rose – Rosy Wings – Sierra Blue – Sumnmer Tan – Tenaya – Theodolinda & more. Then to Mrs. Bosely & saw Wm. S. Sethcel – Gloriole – Treasure Island – California Gold – Ballerina.
Stopped for hamburgers – Wally to poker & Romines home.
