The morning was gone just walking around Terradise. Such botanizing! After lunch we went to Waite’s woods & dug & dug for trilliums. Then in to shop – picked up Mary & Rocky – 2 hrs behind schedule & off to San Dar in Belleville for Smorgasbord. Keith says “most different experience yet.” Back home & he showed slide of Irish wildflowers – typical & bureen. His reaction to the news that the Russians had put “Sputnik” into orbit around the earth was a little – “good, they beat the Americans!”
