E-mail from Kathy – OK to the THR/HWH OSUM Endowment fund with a lot of good comments.
Karen brought her egg casserole ready to heat in the oven for breakfast – With bagels & cream cheese – I supplied juices & coffee.
Sarah, Dave & Thad came about 11:00 – rolled Thad’s wheelchair up the ramp & I had built for Mary. While eating breakfast Ed Granger came for a visit (I think he thought I would be alone & need company – was he surprised!) But David, Ed & I had a great reminisce – showed Ed where he signed the Terradise Carol book in 1989.
Family opened gift envelopes with $50 for each of them – told them why it was cash – David got $300 – says he’ll buy an iPod. Susannah spent all her time here working hers.
David & Karen want to give me 6 months of “Life Line” – I would wear it all the time to alert 911 if I need help.
Sarah & Dave brought me a poinsettia, tin of chocolates & red poinsettias. Josh gave me service for 12 of stainless steel table service – I showed him my drawers full! But at my birthday party he thought I didn’t have enough for us! I hate to be a wet blanket – Karen helped cook the sauerkraut & pork & David helped microwave some mashed potatoes & I made a green salad. [???] and 7 kinds of cookies was dessert.
David unplugged battery backup from wall – no more buzzing. They left about 4:30 taking the 3 large dogs that made life miserable for Chessie – I put him & his food in the attic stairway for his safety – as I write he’s asleep on my lap.
