Katie & Geo up before me – I tried to call Shari Hall Harding Home manager for a tour but husband reports she is out of town.
Had a little tour of Marion – Vernon Heights & picked up dishes I left at Pam Miller’s. To Heritage Hall about 12:00 & put a display of MCHS publications on my table along with DBY & Ray’s verses – sold 1 of each of mine, & several MCHS books – first to 1907 original History of Marion County from Uncle Allen’s collection & sold it for $100 – sold 37 of Katie’s books “First Lady Florence Harding” – Jim Robenalt & wife came late due to his involvement in a trial – Jim C so helpful in replacing books from gift shop to my table, taking photos and greeting those attending & distributing the “Authors & Their Books” flyer that Gale & I created, 12 authors & 4 artists. Geo wandered Heritage Hall – read every Hall of Fame plaque – Jim Hering found that there was no print day cover of The Harding 1923 black stamp & will give one to MCHS – Dave Claborn proposed to Gale & me a Harding Seminar at OSUM.
Katie, George, Jim and I to Sawyer-Ludwig Park to see Rose Cottage where Florence Harding lived a short while – Missed showing them the Sawyer house where she died. Met Gale at Harding Center for a 2 hour dinner – wine & conversation. Home about 9:00.
