91° sunny
Got a lot more out of today than if I didn’t go to Columbus for the 2009 Tiffen Award. After haircut at Le Salon I picked up Jim Carpenter- shopped at Meijer for weed whacker string, ice, Roundup and root growth fertilizer. He whacked the weeds along the riverbank and cut back the forsythia. Loaded mulch in red cart and after weeding bed along stone wall mulched it. Cut off the dead marigold blossoms.
Drove to Terradise Nature Preserve and he had whacked the paths and around the shelter house. I picked up loose limbs. Took pictures to show Karen Kelly. Sent her a message about no clean up at Terradise Nature Preserve. Her reply: she lives too far away! Dick and Mary Cooper were assigned by friends of Prairie Parks to do it. So suppose the logs will lay there until they rot.
Stopped at Hemmerly’s Flowers after taking Jim home and asked Diana’s permission to send article to Marion Star on the 43rd anniversary of moving to 615 East Center, Paul and Jean Dasher’s building. Okayed it 75th anniversary.
Email from Kathi- visited pain chiropractor. asked how old she was when she started walking so I got out her baby book- 11 months.
