As I write a luna moth is fluttering against the glass door. As I wrote today at the computer, I watched a female mallard with 7 ducklings explore the pond and dablle in the duck week. A line of turtles on the inlet pipe didn’t phase the ducks.
Wrote story on Marion History (population & industry) before 1890 for Star’s tab.
Larry Winchester called to say softbound would be ready Friday and hardbound in 2 weeks. He found another binder to do it $350 cheaper & I think total bill may be $500 less than $7500 estimate. – and will give us the over-run.
In at 3:30. Cashed the $5,000 CD that matured & put in checking account in case I need it to pay printing bill. To HH for Fall Fair committee meeting. Dinner with Mary at Isaly’s & then to Hutchman’s. Had Bill & Erma help revise Horticulture Schedule for Fall Fair – then with Bill to my first meeting of Marion Garden Club. Not a very friendly group. But great speaker- Dave Williams – on mulches. Home about 6:00.
