Caught up on paying bills – income tax estimates – note to Kathy with return of her pictures.
Entered EHMA dues payments & ran records of past due members.
IOn at 3:00 to mee with Melinda Davies, Jack Telfer & John Hickson – They discovered that 5 files of photos were missing from locked files-!!

John & Jack so busy impressing Melinda that talked for an hour before asking for her input. She had 3 pgs of categories (not too great but good for student). Suggested contacting OHS for their system for their photo collection. Supper with Mary at Turroff’s.

39-70 Cols rain for May 7″
Called Kathy Kim AM & she said buy it. Called her PM to tell her I had.
Cleaned out the area in front of the new bed at lower entrance. Wheelbarrow load of double day lilies & goatweed. Move last of pinks to new bed so patio area reflects the coral of the brick patio.
Mary out & we shot video. Not pleased with focus & color.
Working on speech for Sat. Steve Potter from BancOPhio called & we got plan lined up for redeeming & investing Howard’s bonds to minimize the present $123,000 tax liability. – Will transfer E/EE bonds to HH Bonds. As interest is pd it will be invested in tax free fund. HH Bonds will be cashed over period of 9 yrs & proceeds invested in tax free fund. $60,000 cash is invested in tax free money market. Investments schould return average of 9% – Puts Howard in 28% income tax bracket. Found yar sale & bought Elizabeth Hemmerly framed memorial for $36 – Mr. Arnt assured me that this was the woman who founded Hemmerly’s Flower Shop!*
Sowed lettuce, larkspur & holly hock seed.

[*of course, Trella’s parents, Ray and Ivaloo Hemmerly founded Hemmerly’s Flowers in 1935]
