Hallmarks 8 hrs
Exec Comm 6 ½ – News Release
Norm called suggesting we use to-date figures in Newsletter for Purchase Fund & supplied them. Jack T called upset at using the Transformation Fund Budget so I pulled it. So it took all morning to redo the Newsletter. In to HH at 1:30 to get Jack’s OK & then to Boy Scout office to run it. They did 4 sides of 2 8 ½ x 11 sheets in 30 minutes. But printed this way (instead of 8 ½ x 22) we had to staple them. Got Jack’s OK to buy an electric (battery) stapler $64 – but we save about $50 on Newsletter printing. Helen Klingenpeel & Mary & Margaret Cottrell came in to help get the mailing out. Just in time before the 4:30 Exec Committee meeting – Norm objects to having Marion Genealogy Society meet at Heritage hall – He’s nuts!
Met Mary at Isaly’s for Stroganoff. Bought a bale of peat moss – $8 – Planted morning glories in a pot & walked in woods – so gorgeous.
Wrote news releases on Terradise Open Garden & Reg II meetings & April 30 Program Meeting.

55/72 total rain ½ inch
Finished making labels for prairie seeds Kensel gave me. Have planted 24 kinds now along lower driveway. Planted snow ball bush down by waterway – pulled garlic mustard, planted 2 lbs of Scott’s shade grass seed – filling in places where flood washed out grass. Too wet to mow.
Magnolias still gorgeous
Spring beauties a white carpet. Dutchmans Breeches spreading – spring cress in clumps – bloodroot about gone.
