Worked on Awards program all day. Dave slept until noon and then went to play practice. Home to change and back to River Valley to work concession stand for basketball game.

Polly Gantt called from San Jose, California. Harold died November 30th heart problems.

To Columbus for meeting of OAHSM executive committee long-range planning. George Baines rambling made it hard to get anything done.

Met Martha Otto of Archeology Department afterwards to find out more about Indian sites in Marion county. Made appointment for March 5th. To library to see Mills Archeology Atlas of Ohio. Info from it in the 1907 Marion County history. Dave not home until 10:30. Didn’t call until 10:00. At Oleta’s watching video tape from library.

Worked on letters to Laippley, Gray and Lesher printing company for bids on Mosher’s book “After 40 Years.”

Planted seeds: Eustonia, sweet peas, dahlia, parsley, campanula, Isophylla, impatiens. Most need warm germination so have them in rec room in half milk cartons in plastic bag.

Letter to Uncle Allen. His 90th birthday February 9th. Also got letter and clippings off to Kathi and David. Sent Allen a check for $100 toward the Sheneman Genealogy and told him it’s time to close out the Hildreth Book checking account. have sold 83 books and given away 14, not including 60 that he and I took (30 each) originally. Have about 80 books left.

Watching Peter the Great miniseries on TV.

Dave sick a.m. to school at noon but went skiing.

Fanny and Floyd with Carl and Maxine Wright stopped by unexpectedly. Asked them to stay for waffle supper. Called Mary and she and Ken came out with their waffle iron and bacon to supplement my sausage. Found I had no eggs so called Lucille Creighton as Dave was there and asked to borrow some and asked Dave & Angelita to bring them and eat with us. Dave demanded $4 in gasoline money to do this favor for me! After I furnish him a car with no expense to him except gas. How can he be so ungrateful.

Saturday, February 1, 1986
To Center at 1:00 to meet with Publications Committee to decide to recommend to MCHS board that MCHS published the Mosher’s book “After 40 Years.” Then to Hemmerly’s to meet Ruth Mosher to finish copying that manuscript- 4 copies for them.

Met Mary, Ken and Dave at Isaly’s for supper. Bernard Brooks and Bette in next booth. He’s retiring as Harding printer teacher. Wrote David and Kathi same letter. Dave home early a.m.
