Up at 7:00 to drive to Columbus again. Dave and Oleta at baggage area when we got there. Dave swearing and very unpleasant. At Marion said he was too tired to drive wagon home. To bed until about 8:00 p.m. I took a nap, also exhausted by strain of last two days.

Tuesday, February 18, 1986
All day getting ready for two meetings tonight- Publication Fund policy, resolution to County Commissioners asking for $5,000, contract with Moshers to publish their “After 40 Years.” To MCHS board meeting for 45 minutes and then to OSUM to meet with Ted Myers, Charlie King, Roger Troutman, Kensel Clutter to plan Ohio Prairie Conference for August 1st and 2nd at OSUM and Claridon Prairie. Sounds great. Mary and Ken met me at 10:00 a.m. and we drove to Columbus airport in fog. Dave and Oleta not on plane. Computer check showed plane late Chicago too late to make connection. Be in at 9:00 a.m.

Monday, February 17, 1986
Faith Evanoski got payroll run but had problems with backing it up just as I got there after Burroughs club. Bad sector on disc plus shop’s computer still doesn’t boot properly. So hooked my Ozzie I up and worked out problems but messed up IRA program because printer wasn’t plugged in right! Every time we ran it and it didn’t print it added that info to year to date totals!
Salesman from Southland Chrysler brought Dodge Ram van for us to see I like it $11,500 price.

Saturday, February 15, 1986
David and I in to shop for a evaluation of deliveries. His hands-on experience showed.
1. Use garage for routing.
2. Use garbage bags for balloon arrangements.
3. Need more sandbags.
4. Use red seal on timed delivery envelopes etc etc.
All good suggestions.

He left at noon for home. Has shipped hard disk back for replacement.

Got $408 interest check from National City Bank on $2,000 CD. That will pay for the VCR- it’s a Sanyo.

Friday, February 14, 1986
Very busy but plenty of flowers sold 1,600 roses at $42.50 a dozen paying $1.95 each. Kevin? in a slight accident with wagon broke right tail light.

Waited at shop until 8:00 for David to get back from last delivery. Finally at 2:00 p.m. Terry asks for help on routing. Found many timed deliveries to businesses that couldn’t get there in time.

Kathi asked David to get flowers for me so he got three red roses! I made chili for the gang and David and I had it also for supper about 9:00 at home after buying video cassette recorder $400.

Thursday, February 13, 1986
In to shop to work. Kass had told me not to help Terry with delivery routing. Answered phone and helped customers. Real busy but I decided to go with Mary and Ken to take Dave and Oleta to the airport. So I drove.

David delivering at shop all day. Kathi called about 2:00 a.m. kids got in 2 hours late. Headwinds so had to land in Salt Lake to refuel. Their flight landed in Sacramento before going to Reno!

Wednesday, February 12, 1986
David up early to go to West Union. Writing a program for ambulance companies* up there. Met Mary Jordan at 1:00 for lunch at Isaly’s- my Valentine from her! Then picked up Ilene Fetter and Mary and Ken and drove to Richwood to see Ruby and Tom. Ilene hadn’t been down since John died and we helped them through a bad time. To me Ruby and Tom’s lives seem pretty dull.

David in to shop about time I left for supper with Mary and Ken at Turroff’s. Tried to install hard disk for computer but it is faulty and will have to be sent back. I went to Altrusa and home before David. Nice visit over pizza.
