Jane Myers called saying Everett Smith had given her a manual of the Marion Public Schools 1896. Stopped by to pick it up. Their home site on Arbor Lane hand-picked 20 years ago is delightful. Manual so interesting. For MCHS archives.
To genealogy meeting to take over $100 for Tombstone Inscription Books sold at Hemmerly’s. Boring as usual but Maxine Marshall gave me 35 Marion old time postcards for MCHS from Mary Casad- San Diego.

Insisted that Howard wash and give me his clothes to wash- hadn’t changed clothes in months.
Bought him thermal underwear at Penney’s and work pants at Meijer on sale for $10.

David and I in to shop to work on payroll. Ruth Mosher in with her computer to have David look at program Typestar- he agrees it is impossible. We have to have a layout sheet from Steve White.
Cook out for lunch and just after eating Sarah came in saying Howard was lying down on a hill and wanted David to come help him. He had been there 2 hours! But not hurt not even broken glasses.
Made wreath and took to Mary Jordan for birthday.

Gorgeous day for Hemmerly Reunion. Doris and Stewart Gibson, Forest Bakers, Madge Zimmerman Weimer, Gail Zimmerman, Don and Ruth Baker and Haldemans. Slim crowd but I had more fun that way. David and his boys played in river (6″ deep) building a dam. After others left David used chainsaw on Box Elder that was completely blocking river right at the house.

To Center- Norm there and kept me busy with correspondence et cetera. John Hickson came in and showed us the 60 plus photos of the Harding campaign (Edmonston collection) that the Fayette County Historical Society gave MCHS. Fantastic.
