Ralph Hedges finished ceiling and started painting. The cameo white makes the room so much cheerier than the pale blue that had been on there for 20 years.

I fix Howard instant oatmeal, orange juice and ready-made pudding for breakfast every morning. He drinks anything in the refrigerator: milk, orange juice, cider, and he got into the wine cooler I brought from California.

Ralph Hedges here at 8:30 and I went with him to Wolohan’s to get the right kind of ceiling tile tile. He got most of it on- Dave helped take old staples out for about 20 minutes. That’s all I got out of the two hours he promised me. Then he left to spend day at school and was not backed by 5:30 when I left to meet Mary at the shop to take him to Columbus and Oleta showed up about 6:15. We ate at MCL Cafeteria and he left on the 8:40 United flight for Chicago.

Paid bills. Invested $1,500 in Boston Money Fund. Edited and printed September 14th of trip journal. Kathi called with address to order video of Dave’s Pass in Review and Drill Company. Also told me to butt out- Dave coming home to see Oleta and not to expect him here.

Went to Leaf Restaurant east of Mount Gilead with Jordans. Mary Hecker settled Mary Jordan’s question on pillars on Morrow County Courthouse by stopping at Courthouse library.

Oleta called that they were going to airport earlier and would I meet with her. I told her I wouldn’t be there and asked Dave to call me to when he got to her house. He didn’t by 12:50.

To OSUM to hear Guy Denny on endangered wildflowers.

Howard ate oatmeal for breakfast but when I gave him rice at noon he filled his mouth with it and then went out to the side porch and spit it out. Refused to give me his soiled under clothes to wash.

Got my clothes from the trip washed and most of the stuff put away. In to take Howard’s glasses and have nose pad put on. To shop and when depositing check met renter at 633 Bordeaux after having supper with Mary at Bob Evans went to Bordeaux. List two pages long of things to be done.
