Took Howard to Reece’s Market- he got 10 packages chewing tobacco!
Worked on SOP until 2:30. In for haircut, shampoo and blow dry. To shop to copy grant and education OAHSM material for Larry Adams- new state rep. To house on 423 to pick up set of Book of Knowledge for $5. Stopped at Penney’s, got nightgown for Kathi and Kris for Christmas. Tan and black sweater for me. To shop to try to copy Ruth’s disk to mine no luck. Home and cleaned up a little- improved chapters 4, 5 & 6.

Chapter 6- Production of fuzes and boosters 9:15 to 5:45.
Kathi called Nikon 7×33 binoculars are in box she sent. They are magnificent.
From 8:00 to 12:30 worked on bells and bow corsages for Hemmerly’s Open House. My total output about 350. Tired.

Worked on SPO, MED*, 10 to 12. In to Olney Avenue School as guest of city school system for National Education Week. Nice packet of material including timeline of history of Marion Schools that I helped Joan Radwin with. Couldn’t find Daisy wheel print wheel to replace mine that has a missing R so home and printed out committee page on my dot-matrix printer. Dropped it off at Marion Tech. Shopped for milk. To photograph class, last one thank goodness. Home and made bell and bow favors for open house. Bed 11:30. Reading “Through a Glass Darkly.”

Tried to call Dave about Chevy Citation I looked at at McDaniels. Worked on Jacob’s Well story and SOP disk to go to ICP- Chapters 1 and 2 and intro material. Jacob’s Well story to Star and then to Union Station for groundbreaking press conference to kick off $50,000 fundraising effort to purchase station. Met Dick Tubbs personable 38-year-old who is heading it up. I got to handle a shovel along with commissioner John Watkins, State Rep Larry adams, councilman Jack Kellogg, Chamber of Commerce president Jim Waddell. Back home to mail disk. Steve White returned my call about the flyer. Finished embellishing the MCHS yearbook. Made 250 bows for corsage giveaways.

David out about 11:00 cut trees on bank by little bridge to make more sun for Pawpaw trees I planted there. Piled brush to burn later. He in to shop to work on computer programs. I worked on Jacob’s Well story using outline he created. Picked up corrected SOP [Scioto Ordinance Plant] material at Mosher’s- took samples to Hall-Beck- Center brochure. Picked up photo of painting at Marion Historical Center to shop and made corrections using my old Osborne I. We worked until 11:30. home for pumpkin pie and ice cream.
