Called David but he was at a gig at Sharon Park. Karen very opposed to him going to Kenosha to pick up Dave’s car from Kathleen Tabor. I called Bob Stout for advice. He said don’t alert Kathy ahead of time, but notify police while we were doing and take the possession of car before contacting Kathy.
Finally decided it was not my responsibility to bail Dave out. called him and it didn’t seem to matter one way or another to him!

Put the liner back in the pool. Not really a one woman job to do it right.

Proofed program at 1:30 before leaving town.
Took more publicity material into Jo Ann Radwin and back home in time to be picked up by Mary Hecker, Mary Jordan and Walt and Olga Haldeman to go to Jerry’s at Galion for lunch. They had no interest in any of my activities. Did more errands and picked Mary up at 2:00 to go to Cincinnati for Sarah’s birthday and to see the new addition to their house. It will be great- lots of room but David is trying to save money by putting on the siding- lots of work. About 9:00 found that genealogy convention doesn’t open until noon tomorrow so decided to come back home tonight.

Called David and Kathi with report on floods. Dave met two Austrian girls at Sierra Club meeting Sunday and has been out with them every night. Called Kathy Tabor- big fight- broke up.

Mary out at 8:45 and we lugged 18 bags of sand out by the driveway from all the lower driveways. Drove back across the river. Water had been into the roadway so I think I’m safe from floods- too much area over there for it to spread.

Finished mailing to 15 participants for July 12th and in to mail them, pick things up from fair, take Charlton Myers speech to him, deliver packets of flyers to 11 churches. Mowed upper lawn, then relaxed. Turned electricity to river pump back on- also bedrooms. River about back in banks.

Wrote Day before Yesterday on July 12th- “Relive Marion of 1830” and took it to Star at 9:00. Roads flooded two places.
