Spent 2 hours at Hemmerly’s with Kass and Pat planning new card and gift shop. Went over to Razor’s Edge to see the layout and were told to leave by Barr who is under a court order to move. My suggestion for a name “The Other Door” didn’t stand a chance against Pat’s “Paper Butterfly” and other nonsense. Decided on Hemmerly’s New Dimension. The whole thing is a bad idea but we can use the area for other than sales so I’m not voicing my doubts.
Piled bricks against the greenhouse.
To Center to get year book mailing out. To Hutchman’s for dinner and catch up talk. Good to be with them.

Mowed the leaves on the upper lawn. Worked on Huber committee bylaws adapting them from MCHS which need revising badly.
Mary H. and Jordans came to go to Al’s in Cardington and I drove. Stopped at Beulah White’s on way home and picked up hand sewen and woven rag carpet. All of us coughed terribly all the way home. Beulah and Mandy had been here a.m. and brought a photo album- red plush that she bought in Caledonia in the ’60s for MCHS. Didn’t know whose it was.

Wrote to Charlie King, head of Ohio Biological Survey about Bob’s [Bob Harter] idea of listing prairie indicator species within the genus in descending order of use in determining that it is a prairie. Also alerted to him to the Route 739 prairie*.
[*Trella later purchased this railroad right of way and donated it to the Marion County Historical Society]
