Picked Mary up at 8:45 after unloading Ash trees at East Lawn Manor. Had to clean my wagon out before loading it. Beautiful day and interesting to drive into spring. First Redbud and then Dogwood spread through the woods like filmy lace. Arrived at Cedars of Lebanon State Park about 5:15. The cabins gorgeous- vaulted ceilings, loft overlooking living room- TV even. Good to see Tommy and Bev. Her dinner delicious- all fresh veggies, pole beans, broccoli, new potatoes and ham. Program on endemics of Tennessee. Glades by doctors Carol and Jerry Baskins of University of Kentucky Lexington was great. Music after not my style- Bluegrass I guess.

Good Friends Club of LaRue visited. About 20. Lovely day and Terradise beautiful. When they left about 2:30 Mary and I went to Columbus. Left info at local history office for annual meeting committee meeting Monday and then to Natural Resources Department at State Fairgrounds to pick up two Ash trees for Marion County and two for Morrow County- about 12 ft high and heavy. Took two to Morrow County Sheriff’s department. Such a fuss by two brawny men about unloading. Dinner at Country Inn in Mount Gilead (once is enough), packed for trip to Tennessee.

Baked beans for picnic. Mary brought potato salad and cucumber salad and potato chips. Roasted wieners on piles of sticks I had gathered. David also burned four other piles.
