In to Marion History Center to copy the recap of our presentation position on post office using the new Sharp copier and get Charlie and Ted’s okay on what I had written. At 10:30 met at Chamber of Commerce with City council Planning Commission co-commissioners. 14 people interested in bringing County and MCHS together to acquire post office. Jerry Ballinger now saying County can borrow money and loan it to MCHS to give to County to buy it! Back home I wrote a summary and got it to Charlie.

Howard pulled mullein seedlings from front lawn where I watered last night. Repairman from Kramer Implement here to pull one and a half inch thick out of mower blades. no problem for him.
Spent most of day organizing slides and editing Settlement of Sandusky Plains for talk to Radnor Grange. To Harter’s at 6:00 and we ate at Wagon Wheel. Good food. To their garden. Seedling plans for sale look great but they have lost a lot of transplants due to drought. About 20 at Grange meeting. I don’t think they were much interested in Prairie- great food though- gave me check for.

In at 9:00 to meet Stan Winck at Snow’s Racquet Store which is slated for demolition this week. His son Dave with him. Pete Miller gave MCHS everything still in building except scales and wrapping paper dispenser. First moved plate glass showcase to Huber museum. Then while Stan went to get his flatbed trailer I tried to find place to store the Walnut topped 20 ft long Victorian counters and shelving 3 ft wide boards.
After many calls found room at old American Malleable building. Joe Murphy, Jr great. Went to get food for Charlie whilel we waited and didn’t put car in park. When I came back it had rolled down across West Center street! Bushed.

Howard 86 years old. He trimmed some tree limbs for me. Ducks have babies on lake in trailer park.
Mary brought Kentucky Fried Chicken, potato salad and coleslaw out for early supper. We went in search of my bridge railings that Martha Neville had reported to 14 to 15-year-olds boys from the trailer park stole yesterday from bridge in woods. Found them in use as railing on a bridge they had built across hole in dam at lake in trailer park. Had to saw them to make uprights stuck in cement blocks. Mary uprooted them and we brought them back home. No use to me that way but couldn’t let them get away with stealing them.

Watering someplace each day
Little kids from Trailer Park netted frog tadpoles and baby bluegills and put them in pool by patio. Hardy white water lily has three blooms.
Finished setting out bedding plants. Jewel box celosia in front bed by drive. Yellow Crown Marigolds in raised bed by greenhouse. Fausablumen begonias in terrace.
