Worked all day finishing entering 1933 database and generating reports for committee meeting tonight.
Beth Langer from Local History Office called about my comments on Rick Williams brochure. Assured me I had done lots of work but it was worthless. All she wants is a rubber stamp okay and I refuse to compromise. Told her this is what I think it should include.
Class of 33 committee met at 7:00. Ray Hinklin presided with his usual ineptitudes. Didn’t know what an agenda for the meeting was!

Worked on Class of 33 database. Re-entered most of it again. Watered Oakleaf hydrangea and Star magnolia that showed stress.
Betty Gorsuch stopped by with friend Kelly O’Connor. Betty running for Ohio Historical Society board. Told her of Bill Nolan’s experience. Not much chance against incumbents.
Spent time in rec room about 10° cooler there. Sorted out MCHS- Edward Huber Memorial Association- long range planning notebooks.
Sent birthday cards to Sarah and Doris.

Picked up membership brochure that David did on Ventura. Watered front lawn from river. Tad from shop stopped after delivery to Caledonia and jumped the tractor battery. To build it up I mowed lowlands for about an hour.0
Worked on Class of 33 report form- stubborn syntax error in field expression, so made a new one that worked okay.
In at 1:00 for permanent. Then to Center to copy letters and my version of membership brochure and mailed them (10) at new post office on Barks Road. Dinner with Mary at Michael’s
David called inviting us down for Sarah’s birthday.

Didn’t go to Charlton Myers reading of Declaration of Independence north of Morral as George Ulle’s car needed repairs and it was too hot so Mary and they decided not to go
I at Log Cabin. Charlie Evers there and really drooping. No people! Fireworks canceled due to drought. Supper with Mary and Ulles at Bob Evans.
Worked on Class of 33 database.

Kathi will leave Sparks by August 2nd maybe before to be there August 14th.
David woke me at 8:00 about OAHSM brochure. Gave him new info and I should have copy by Tuesday.
To Reece’s for food for picnic including minute steak. Took Howard. Made relish plate and bean salad, iced tea and lemonade. Walt, Olgua and Janice arrived at 3:00. Mary, June and George Ulle soon after. Ate on deck. Mary cooked the steaks- food delicious- put all recipes on computer for all.
Kathi called while we were across road gathering dock and we all talked with her.
