Tuesday, June 15, 1954
Haircut & to PO sending for Canadian stamps after treatment. Trella home at 3-? I dubbed on 5th Herm caratoon; morgus, etc. No good. Rained a bit. Hutchman’s out awhile evening.

Monday, June 14, 1954
Trella broke accelerator cable on Nash- we got home from Morrison’s late. Slept p.m.- & did cartoon in ink, letter to Eamon. Trella, on wedding tonite, I dubbed Iris (digging) & pomes, etc. SANDY went work Hall TRUCKING CO. (I think – YEP) – & BOUGHT CAR!

Sunday, June 13, 1954
Shower last nite, cooler, but heated up again. Trella did 3 weddings, home 4:15(?) I dubbed cartoon, pomes (slept till 10!) Sandy out with ’51 Dodge ($800) she’s about to buy(?) Nice car – we took ride, talked, etc. Wes Moselle, Mrs. Miller here tonite. Paris & Helen as we were eating.

Saturday, June 12, 1954
Got Paris’ car-carrier, Harold Rockwell’s ladders, hung awning(!) on our window! Poohed, then. Did draw some on Ahrens cartoon. Trella very busy- home 6:00. She watered things well tonite. (Dad to Dr.- 2 cracked ribs!!)

Friday, June 11, 1954
Swell day – for me! Dubbed p.m. & evening. Paris, Sandy helping us – painted (P.) steps, fixed screen, finished whiting on greenhouse – upholstered yacht chair, etc. etc. Here for supper too! Nice time.

Thursday, June 10, 1954
Better again; Hot – 90?? Saw Cole. PO says I need only a Dr.’s letter for 30 day extension on sick leave. Paris & Sandy out p.m. nice time. We put up kids’ bulletin boards, looked Sandra Jean’s gifts (graduation) & she got me a shirt – father’s day! Dick Howard here evening.

Wednesday, June 9, 1954
Some little better. I managaed to work on kid’s bulletin boards p.m. & on Irises awhile after supper. Trella worked out till 9:30!! Pain tonite, when I lie down. Hot today 88 predicted.

Tuesday, June 8, 1954
Rather lousy day – in bed most o’p.m. & evening. Started treating neck swelling with Xray??? Managed a little Iris-watch about suppertime. Trella at shop most all dayl. Sandy graduated tonite. I couldn’t quite make it, but we listened in on radio. Congratulations, Sandy!

Monday, June 7, 1954
Best day in eons! We checked Iris Hartford St. back uptown (landing net for Paris) – ran into H. White! They all (inc. bug-crazy nephew) out p.m. – I stayed out o’bed(!) & even helped Trella plant big (south) garden.!! KIDS & HEMMERLYS OFF FOR A WEEK IN MICH!

Sunday, June 6, 1954
Sandy out – 1st trip in Nash, a.m. till 12:00 p.m. I slept as usual, till 4:30 (?) & after supper slept some more. Hamiltons (O.E.) here; Paris & Helen later – 9:30(?) Trella weddings – 2 – home 3:30.
