Not so sick – some pain, weak, ate, tho. Hot 98 – Marion. Trella in planting irises. Paris here, tiling! Trella & Sandy to a sho together tonite. [Trella added: “Marilyn Monroe in River of No Return.”]

Worse – sick! Trella made special trip, got sickness-pills. better tonite with 3 in me. Hot. Dad ‘n Paris out p.m., Sandy evening; & Hemmerlys a moment.

Better a.m. but laid & no good rest o’day – no pain tho!! Doc Pierce & wife here awhile, 7 or so. Vivian Adams sent cookies.

Less sick, but pain worse: I started eating again. Paris, Sandy, Hutchmans, Lean & Hazel Reed, Ralstons, Brooks all here. Sandy got $5 raise!
