Tuesday, June 23, 1953
Nice today- but HOW we need rain! Trella looked at linoleum pm. We went Acres b/4 supper- she cleaned plaster; I set 250 (?) new seedlings. Home, ate. She took off for Posy talk; I got Hemmerly truck & moved load stuff here to sell. Thru Sandra Jean, THEY turned down Westwood stuff I’d promised Florence!!

Wednesday, June 24, 1953
Warmer- hot ejuf. Ate at Jer-Zee today noon. Tonite, we “sold” & rented both houses (tried) & some furniture. Had good prospective renters for Westwood. Brough truckload stuff back here.

Monday, June 22, 1953
Hot again. Tooth pulled (my first “real” one out!) at 9- Linscott. Trella stuck around, we picked out electric fixtures, after, VanAtta’s; arranged for more dough- loan on Westwood, $5,000. To Acres pm, Trella & kids washed windows; I cut trees, brush & weeds behind house. Laying 1st hardwood floor! Man figured CUPBOARDS- I went Westwood & mowed lawn- Trella to Scout picnic.

Sunday, June 21, 1953
Hot too- till late PM, cooled off. Sandy & I spent day at Acres (2 trips) lunching at 954 Westwood, seedlings, etc, & got boat on water again. Nice time. Helped Trella deliver Mt. GIlead wedding tonite. Bertha, Maid of Honor! Visited Dad & Cora, after stopping Acres.

Saturday, June 20, 1953
95 or so? HOT. To Acres at noon- no one working. Tonite, gave Nickel his 1st $100. Planted Irises I’d dug at 954 before supper. Harold & Mary out. Home 9+. Pomes, bed 11.

Friday, June 19, 1953
Hot. Tuff in sun- almost “gone” at noon. To Westwood sleepin’ after work, dug & [shorthand] Hartford Garden a few more seedlings, supper. Home- Trella had wedding appointment- I set 2 bugs, pomed, ate & bed.

Thursday, June 18, 1953
PLASTERING ALL FINISHED!
Hotter, took day off; moved 272 Iris seedlings to Hartford Garden. Trella washed, took kids to Dentist. (Sandra Jean’s wearing braces- 1st “real” Miller visit today)
PM, Ray Hemmerly helped set up some o’ Greenhouse. Tonite, Trella, Kathy shone Dodge up; I made Sun & Shade “combined: talk- bugs & verses.

Wednesday, June 17, 1953
Cooler. Hauled load o’ Westwood attic (morgue too) junk to Acres tonite- ran out of gas & had flat tire! Poohed.

Tuesday, June 16, 1953
($148.34) Hot. We took load o’books to Farm- Trella’d take load out with truck & Gene; we got that (inc. chest) toi attic! Planted some, home & ate. Kids & Hemmerly’s home (490 miles) about 7:30. Trella sold wedding tonite. PUTTING SPOUTING UP, FINISHED SIDING.

STARTED 2ND PLASTER-COAT TODAY
Warm again- back work – headache, Trella too! tonite. She went farm- I slept; visited Dad (both of us) who’s better. Eyes worse, tho?? (Ben’s dating a Mt . Gilead gal, he says- could it be??) Bed 10:30. T.V’d some first. Sold Holland’s another.
