Monday, December 21, 1953
Rain! 3 times around Heights, me. Foo. Home 6:00. Hiss cased. Bed very early. Trella to Burrough’s party; kids in with her, a-shoppin’.

Sunday, December 20, 1953
Up & Sandy out skating before breakfast! I joined in, then el [sic] kids. Took her home after we trimmed live small tree & lunch & to work 1-5. Home, good supper, wrapped gifts.

Saturday, December 19, 1953
Warmer. I went work 6 – only out 1 1/2 hr., maybe. Quit 4:30. Got Sandray Jean, & after nice supper here we skated 1st time on River! Swell skating, too. Trella couldn’t – her 1st day. TV & popcorn till 11. (10 hrs 5″)

Friday, December 18, 1953
Zero or below? (-3) I carried Heights twice, worked 8 – 6:30. Dinner at Hemmerly’s. Poohed a bit, in show & all. Sewed gloves & more or less to bed! 1:50 overtime.

Thursday, December 17, 1953
2 degrees- we had 6″ here at 5 a.m. Work at 6, quit 4:30 – 2 hrs overtime. Trella worked as usual at shop. Letter Baker, note to Sandy, 2 batches pomes out.

Wednesday, December 16, 1953
($180.97) (13 hrs overtime) Tuff in snow, but Hiss wonderful helper. Home 6:40, about, quick supper. I dubbed letters, etc. & bed 9:30.

Tuesday, December 15, 1953
Foo on the snow. Hiss & I carried it, Bob mostly. 8 hrs 45″. Trella & I got live $5 red spruce after work*, & she had Nash choke fixed at Harold’s. Pressed pants & jacket, wrote King & Dewhurst.

Monday, December 14, 1953
9 1/2 hrs, about. Hiss helped me, & #18- half each trip. Snow. About 6″ up to now (?) & still at it. Home tonite – finishing oddes & ends; at my desk; Trella ironed after doing dishes by hand.

Sunday, December 13, 1953
Worked on covers (N. Pole, N.Y.), notes for Xmas cards, Xmas-cards (esp. evening); & finished greenhouse path & all! Poohed – 9:40 now.

Saturday, December 12, 1953
Work at 6. 9 hrs. 27″, all overtime. Worked on Xmas card notes & letters tonite – had nice letter from Sandy- she’s heard from Chuck.
