Warm, quite. We cleaned basement & dubbed wasting time. Webbs here, then Hutchmans, then Rockwells, last two for supper. I didn’t eat – lay down awhile even, due to vestiges internal flu.

Saturday, March 27, 1954
Sad mistake – I went back to work & suffered. Rotten. Bed tonite; then we tried framing & hanging pictures. I ‘versed’ awhile before bed.

Friday, March 26, 1954
Still off – still not feelin’ tops tho we did move a mtn back o’ house with help of tractor! Trella & I both worked at it. (Batch of 10 cartoons off to Post) Got Sandy after work, we Dairy Queened, visited Dad & COra, stopped briefly to see Margaret Anne & Helen, Trella & kids into town tonite shoppin’.

Thursday, March 25, 1954
“Reg” day off, but still not 100%. We dubbed moving stuff into cold frame, etc. – on back terrace late p.m. Slept between times. Johnson & Bob (K&W) here p.m. about furnace. Cartooned tonite. Trella ironed.

Wednesday, March 24, 1954
Still off but felt better; made coupla see flats a.m., slept p.m. & finished coldframe, working 3 solid hrs! Trella in tonite (p.m. too); I drew, pomed, morgued.

Tuesday, March 23, 1954
Still off. Nailed up 2 seed flats; planted last o’ Westwood things setting out here – all I needed! Slept, rested, up & down, morgue, pomes, bed, up. Hemmerly’s back from Florida – they & Rockwells here for supper – evening. I still upped & downed.

Still felt rotten: enuf to lay off. Dubbed morgue, verses (sold American Legion again!), rested, slept. Trella in 3 times all told! (Girl Scount Council tonite)
