Dave reports to Officer Candidate School at Pensacola on March 11th! Kathi called about 2:00 and Dave called about 8:00. Wedding put off until after he graduates. This morning he dropped his Tomahawk missile cup and it broke. All day finished collating 12 packages for potential donors for Edward Huber Machinery Museum. 40 hours and pages and pages from my copy machine in this effort. No time to work on Day Before Yesterday for Star.

In at 9:00 for on-site assessment with Michelle Dolby and JD Britton from local history office. Their checklist covered all aspects. Only Jack, Dick West and I there. Walked over to Maury’s on Main for lunch. Intensive session. Took Whirlpool Grant application to plant. Dick Axthelm said looks fine. Home for a little rest. Back in for board meeting in Auditorium and I was disorganized! Gloria didn’t provide January minutes for mailing!

Shoveled a little more snow off driveway each day. Sorted all HemGen files- took all day. In about 4:00 and met Marys at Wendy’s for supper. To Med Center to see Willis Thomas and took him basket of growing tete-a-tete daffodils. He was dressed and in hall. Good conversation about his start as a bellboy at Hotel Harding and career at Huber. Continued working on HemGen files.

Canceled Edward Huber Memorial Association fundraising meeting. Couldn’t reach Anna May. Called Coleman, Fogt, Harraman and LaMarche. Decided to use material prepared for Whirlpool to furnish more info to prospective donors for Edward Huber Memorial Association. Called several to prepare them. Also sending to Carl Hughes. Willis Thomas called. He’s been at Med Center since Tuesday. Suspect gallstones. To dinner at Al’s with three Marys. Finished shoveling out driveway at entrance. First time a car’s been in there in over a month. Dick West called will get a tester on Wyandotte Popcorn Museum lights to monitor usage.
